This CHAPTER contains a listing and outline of the CONVERSATIONAL SUB SPINDLE cycles available in KipwareT®.
Users have complete control to configure the SETTINGS of the sub-spindle programming as illustrated below :

Conversational cycles allow users to create G code for sub-spindle attach, detach and complete transfer using only fill-in-the-blank forms. Cycles available are outlined below.

SUB-SPINDLE ATTACH
This cycle creates G code to position and attach the sub-spindle to the main spindle using user inputs and pre-configured M codes and positioning codes. Attach sequence can be done either with the spindles synced and running or off. In addition, appropriate notes can be auto inserted into the G code so the user can see what actions are taking place in the code.

SUB-SPINDLE DETACH
This cycle creates G code to position and detach and return the sub-spindle using user inputs and pre-configured M codes and positioning codes. Detach sequence can be done either with the spindles synced and running or off and auto-cutoff detection can automatically programmed in. In addition, appropriate notes can be auto inserted into the G code so the user can see what actions are taking place in the code.

COMPLETE TRANSFER
This cycle creates G code to creat a complete transfer cycle including positioning, attach the sub-spindle and detach and return the sub-spindle using user inputs and pre-configured M codes and positioning codes. The transfer sequence can be done either with the spindles synced and running or off. In addition, appropriate notes can be auto inserted into the G code so the user can see what actions are taking place in the code.
