This CHAPTER contains a listing and outline of the CONVERSATIONAL LIVE TOOL, C AXIS and Y AXIS cycles available in KipwareT®.
Users have complete control to configure the SETTINGS of the live tool programming as illustrated below :

If the SUB SPINDLE option has been purchased ... all cycles described here can be selected set to be performed on the sub spindle.
Conversational cycles allow users to create G code for the specific shapes using only fill-in-the-blank forms ... no CAD model or drawing of any kind is required to create G code using these cycles. They are arranged in this listing on no particular order and the list is current as of the current release.

SQUARE / RECTANGULAR POCKET
This cycle creates G code to machine a square or rectangular pocket on either the O.D. or FACE using X and Y axis milling. Roughing and / or finishing along with the use of cutter compensation can be selected by the user. The pocket can also be rotated at any user defined angle using a single input on the form.

ROUND POCKET
This cycle creates G code to machine a round pocket on either the O.D. or FACE using X and Y axis milling. An unlimited number of pocket locations can be input using different X/Y/C axis locations. Roughing and / or finishing along with the use of cutter compensation can be selected by the user.

SQUARE / RECTANGULAR BOSS
This cycle creates G code to machine a square or rectangular boss on either the O.D. or FACE using X and Y axis milling. Roughing and / or finishing along with the use of cutter compensation can be selected by the user. The boss can also be rotated at any user defined angle using a single input on the form.

ROUND BOSS
This cycle creates G code to machine a round boss on either the O.D. or FACE using X and Y axis milling. Roughing and / or finishing along with the use of cutter compensation can be selected by the user.

FACE SLOTTING
This cycle creates G code to machine a slot on the face using X and Y axis milling. Roughing and / or finishing along with the use of cutter compensation can be selected by the user. The slot can also be rotated at any user defined angle using a single input on the form.

O RING GROOVE
This cycle creates G code to machine an o'ring groove on the O.D.. Roughing and / or finishing along with the use of cutter compensation can be selected by the user.

HEX MILLING
This cycle creates G code to machine a hex on the face using X and Y axis milling. Roughing and / or finishing along with the use of cutter compensation can be selected by the user.

I.D. THREAD MILLING
This cycle creates G code to thread mill a thread on either the O.D. or FACE using X and Y axis milling. Roughing and / or finishing along with the use of cutter compensation can be selected by the user.

DRILLING
This cycle creates G code to drill an unlimited number of holes on either the O.D. or FACE using X / Y / C axis positioning. Calculators are included to automatically calculate hole positions for bolt circle, grid pattern or holes-at-an-angle along a line.
