Here a couple of examples of how KipAssist is helping.

• Workpiece example : a turned shaft with 4 diameters … grooved … threaded. With just one screen and minimal inputs … KipAssist will calculate the cyletime to rough turn … finish turn … rough groove … finish groove … and thread. All 5 operations with cutting time … rapid time … tool change time … and any handling time … all done in one set-up.
• Workpiece example : a milled part that will be faced … a rectangular pocket milled … 6 holes spotted, drilled, tapped and chamfered. KipAssist will calculate the cyletime to rough face … finish face … rough pocket … finish pocket … spot drill … drill … tap and chamfer. All 8 operations with cutting time … rapid time … tool change time … and any handling time … all done in one set-up.

 

The best part is it’s all done with the specs of your equipment … your tooling … your cutting conditions … and any “machine quirks” or special needs like optional stop to clear chips … all being able to be taken into consideration. Standard AI and “feature recognition” software can’t say the same.
